Office Administrator Roscommon
Patricia has been the Office Administrator in our Roscommon branch since 2017. Having worked in the AIB bank for 34 years in various roles, from a teller, all way up to training the implementation of AIB’s new system around the country, she gained a lot of experience in customer service. After Patricia left the bank in 2013, she spent a lot of time volunteering and went back to education in ICT skills.
Here at Oates Auctioneers Ltd., she is the first point of contact for clients, she reconciles invoices, maintains and manages information etc. A lot of Patricia’s tasks come down to time and people management, amongst other day to day practices.
“I enjoy problem solving and working with people on a team, my favourite aspect has to be dealing with the public, and no two days are the same.”

Joan joined us here in Oates Auctioneers in July 2015. She has gained vast experience working in the administration section for the last 11 years. Her various roles have included working as a Clerical Officer, Customer Service Agent and Office Assistant. She also completed courses in Manual & Computerised Accounts, Reception & Clerical Skills and Computer Applications & Office Skills, greatly enhancing her work experience to date.
Joan’s job as an Office Administrator entails a lot of multitasking. She oversees the running of our busy office on a day to day basis, no one day is ever the same! She starts each day managing correspondence by answering emails, checking voicemails, sorting the incoming post, answering phone enquiries, managing the diary for potential viewings, preparing documentation and paperwork required for the Sales/Rental process, professionally managing the office in the absence of the Manager, liaising with colleagues and clients and reconciling invoices for our accounts department.
“I enjoy the challenge the property market brings and also the variation the job brings each day! I get great job satisfaction when we hand over the keys to the client after helping them find their forever home!”
