Roscommon and the Midlands are among the strongest housing markets in the country right now. Here are the latest figures for Roscommon, Athlone and Westmeath, and what they mean if you\u2019re thinking of selling.<\/p>\n

The headline: Roscommon is outpacing the country<\/h2>\n

Daft.ie\u2019s latest report, published on 28 September 2026, shows listed prices in Co. Roscommon up 8.5%<\/strong> on a year earlier. That\u2019s almost three times the national rise of 3%. Larger family homes did especially well: the average five-bed in the county rose 16% to \u20ac469,000<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Next door, Longford was up 10.4%, which shows how strong demand is right along the Shannon.<\/p>\n

Athlone\u2019s mix of jobs, TUS, the train line and the M6 keeps family homes in and around the town in steady demand, on both the Westmeath and the Roscommon side of the river.<\/p>\n
